Dore will be conducting a 14 day fully guided jewellery tour of Morocco in conjunction with our very good friends Rita Lazauskas and Bruce Derrick who live in Morocco and run Amazigh Cultural Tours. She was recently over there, traveling all around researching for next years tour. She came back amazed at the fairy tale-like culture and astounding countryside. And then there was the jewellery! Marcus' Recent Silver Rings

Here's a little slide show of some of the silver rings Marcus made this year. They have been set with re-claimed porcelain, synthetic sapphires, glass and black pebbles.

Spring Enameling Classes

Hi everyone,
with October almost just around the corner I am planning our spring enameling classes.
I know this is very early notice, but I am going overseas for 5 weeks and the classes basically start straight away after my return. I am offering a Monday night class 6-9pm starting on the 14th of October and a Thursday morning 9.30 - 12.30 class starting on the 10th of October. Both classes are running for 10 weeks and are open to beginners and advanced participants.
Beginners will learn basic goldsmithing skills, experiment with enamel and make a ring or pendant with cloisonne enamel.
Advanced participants will further their goldsmithing skills, experiment with new enamel techniques and learn to make a champleve ring or pendant.
And for those of you who have already taken part in 3 courses, we will improve our soldering skills by making a silver chain. And we will enamel on more 3 dimensional forms that will be domed and hammered beforehand. Maybe even get away from the circle!
Classes are strictly limited to 5 participants  and a $150 deposit will secure your place.

Bendigo POP UP

Hi everyone, we are are off to Bendigo at the end of the month for another of our POP UP events! This time we are taking the opportunity to coincide with the Contemporary Australian Silver & Metalwork Award 2013 being exhibited at the Post Office Gallery, an annex of the Bendigo Regional Art Gallery, right in the heart of the town. We are extremely lucky to have a space directly opposite the Post Office in Pall Mall, thanks so much to Jill and Jools for Jim salon for being so generous! We have lots of work to show and will be offering 15% off of everything, so come to beautiful Bendigo and take in a weekend of contemporary jewellery and silversmithing.

Here we are again extending an invitation to everyone for our forthcoming Easter exhibition, Ocean Blue Growing Green by Pennie Jagiello and Dore Stockhausen. Pennie's jewellery is meticulously made using materials entirely sourced by her many years of beach combing. Discover for yourself her curious and colourful jelly-fish baby bangles and sponge-cup rings. Whilst Dore has been indulging her passion for the colour green and expressing it in her latest enamel and silver pendants and rings.

Over the past year I have indulged in my passion for green. Apple green, olive green, grass green, grey green, ocean green.....enameled on silver resulting in a collection of rings, pendants and earrings.
